Being one of the main ports in the Mediterranean, uniformed sailors have always been a common sight in the streets of Barcelona.
As a kid, seeing them sauntering up the Ramblas in their white, crisp uniforms would unleash in me fantasies of adventures in exotic, faraway places.
Nowadays these white clad men are not so common but one can still find them now and then about the Ramblas and port areas.
