The photographs of French artist Charles Fréger are simply beautiful. I'm not mentioning anything like psycological depth or anthropological aspects. No need. Sharply executed, powerful but mellow; these photos have soul to spare and I love them for that.
Would I like one of these for Christmas?

1-Hereros.
Portraits taken in Namibia. The Herero people proudly pose in their special ocasions' best. The tribal & colonial chich they sport speaks volumes about their past, present and sense of style too.
2-Empire.
Military men from different European countries decked out in their Grand Gala uniforms. The Queen's carriage can't be far.
